Heritage Management Strategy

Como Lake, CoquitlamComo Lake - a key part of Coquitlam's landscape

The City of Coquitlam is developing a comprehensive strategy to address heritage of all kinds – from historic buildings and landscapes to intangibles such as community identity – and guide how it is protected and celebrated in Coquitlam in the years to come.

The first phase of research and analysis is complete, and the next step includes engaging the community for input as we prepare a draft strategy in early 2021.

We Want to Hear From You

During this consultation, we are asking for public feedback on the the vision, values and seven themes that will shape our Heritage Management Strategy, as well as input on people, places, and events that shape the evolution of Coquitlam's identity and history.

How to Share Your Input

  • Start by learning about the seven heritage themes that will shape our Heritage Management Strategy.
  • Answer the survey by Saturday, Oct. 31. This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
  • Share your ideas on how we should share our community's story, vote and comment on others' ideas.
  • Drop a pin on the map to tell us about the places in Coquitlam that matter to you.
  • Contact City staff with questions or input at dward@coquitlam.ca or 604-927-3400.
