Neighbourhood Pockets

Over the past few years, residents in a number of “neighbourhood pockets” (areas representing a few blocks) have requested the City review the land use designation and redevelopment potential of their properties. The City is engaging directly with these neighbourhood pockets to develop a land use concept for Council’s consideration which is supported by the community and consistent with other City goals and objectives.

Note: For Southwest Coquitlam residents who are not part of a neighbourhood pocket, the review of your property will likely be covered by the other work streams of the SWHR (i.e., Corridor Development Strategy, Housing Choices and Detached Housing Alternatives).
